Three generations are holding hands and joining forces to create this family-owned carehome.
Ilona (Ilka) is lead caregiver and owner of Rivervilla Care. She moved to the Unites States six years ago from
her native country, Romania. A bookkeeper for 32 years, Ilka wanted to change directions in order to find more fulfillment
through her work. She wanted to do something that helped others and used her cooking, baking, and business skills.
It was a natural path for her to get the Caregiver Certificate from Legacy Emmanuel Hospital and start working at
carehomes in the local area. After a few years working for others she kept dreaming big that one day she would have
her own carehome where she'd be providing the highest quality care and food. Rivervilla Care is a result of this dream.
Her biggest support is her son, Robert, who is the handy-man of the carehome. An electrical engineer by trade,
he possesses a multitude of skills in wood working, home remodeling, and construction. Robert is continuously working
to improve the functionality of the home by combining practicality with elegance and beauty. Robert's six-year-old son,
Oliver, is a multilingual entertainer who fills the home with joy and laughter when he visits. He often helps Grandma
Ilka bake bread, water and harvest the vegetable garden, and bring in the mail. We believe and promote a multi-generational family environment, what we learn from our parents and grandparents we pass it down to our children.
We welcome you, come meet us and be part of our family.
